Important Safety Tips
- Hot pavement: While paw balm creates an excellent barrier, it does not replace dog boots. The summer heat in Verde Village, AZ, makes pavement dangerous. Always do the 5-second test: press the back of your hand onto the pavement for 5 seconds. If it is too hot for your hand, it is too hot for your dog's paws. Walk your dog in the grass or wait for the ground to cool down.
- Licking: Because the ingredients are all-natural, it is okay if your dog licks a little bit of the balm off. However, distract them with a treat or a toy for a few minutes so the balm stays on long enough to protect their feet.
